checkout etiquette?

I just got back from the grocery store a little bit ago. What is usually a completely uneventful outing has now left me dazed, confused, and promising to never buy anything but a head of lettuce from the grocery store for as long as I live.

The lady checking out my food, about halfway through my items, turns to me and asks "So how long will this food last you?".

I manage to squeak out a mortified two weeks-all the while thinking is that too short- and she smirks and continues on her merry way.

WHAT JUST HAPPENED? Was she just trying to make small talk or was that an insult?

So in the spirit of being the voice for all of the attacked grocery store patrons everywhere: I give you a list of other things Wal-Mart checkers SHOULD not say to someone while ringing up their weekly necessities. Wal-mart checkers:take notes.

1.Do you need help getting all of this into your car? Is your car big enough?

2. Wow, how many hungry mouths do you have at home?

3. Having a party?

4. Would you like the latest subscription of FIT Magazine?

5. I wonder how many calories are in your cart?

6. Is this all yours?

7. I need a restock on aisle 6.

8. And my personal fav: Aww...eating for two. When are you due?

Thank you Wal-Mart. As if walking past the rows of fashion magazines wasn't enough-you have found new ways to test my self-esteem and take a poke at my extra love! Ha!

Just call my agent!

I LOVE Taylor's Top Two Tuesday topic this week! So fun..and since I watch EVERY reality show the man has ever created....it was terribly difficult to pick. But I figured if I am going to be on a reality show, I might as well learn a thing or two. So, my two-could they be any more different- picks!

1. The Amazing Race

I don't think this choice needs any explanation. I mean...travel around the world, for free, doing crazy things....count me in! And I would love to challenge myself to accomplish it.

2. MTV's The City

I just LOVE the fashion aspect of this show. I would love to work with Joe Zee or Kelly Cutrone and learn all of the ins and outs of the fashion world. And it wouldn't hurt to sneak some freebies from Elle's closet!!

While we are on the topic of reality tv, did ya'll watch the Bachelorette last night?

I think that she let go of the right people last night. But I was hoping she would pull a Jake and let both Tattoo Casey and the wrestler go on the same date. Oh well, hopefully she will let RATED R go next week.

I am obsessed with Roberto...he is freaking hot!

How amazing was her figure in her bathing suit? Holy abs! She needs to come put me through boot camp!

I wanted to hug Craig R when he busted out the drawn on tattoo!Hysterical!

Iceland is now on my must travel to list! unbelievably beautiful!

Frank is a little wack-a-doo.

My final three that I think she will pick are Roberto, Chris L, and Kirk, with Kirk taking grand prize. Who do you think will take take the win?

Happy Tuesday!

Hey Ya'll!!!!Here are some pictures of the past couple weekends! WE had some dear friends of ours come visit! We had way too much fun eating, swimming in the lake, shopping, and laughing!! So thankful for friends!!

Then my parents came into town! We drove down to Savannah for the weekend!Savannah is one of my favorite cities! The historic district is the most magical little place! I had a blast showing my parents around as they had never been! We took a ghost tour Saturday night as Savannah is the number one most "haunted" places! It was fun to hear the stories! Oh and I tried fried green tomatoes for the first time.......DELISH!! Have ya'll ever had those?

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
